Test Technician – Cambridge - Contract role

A few notes to describe the type of person that we’d like to employ for the role of Test Technician.

- He/She should be bright with an amount of ambition. We don’t really want someone that aspires to be a Test Technician. A successful candidate will view this as a step towards a more challenging role.

- A recent degree in engineering (preferably mechanical) would be ideal. Physics or possibly chemistry may also be useful but an engineer is preferred.

- Alternatively, an individual that has put themselves through night school to achieve a BTEC qualification or some other relevant indicator of self advancement may also be suitable.

- Some experience in research and development / new product development would be useful. In particular validation of product / proof of concept.

- The individual must be ‘hands on’ so experience of doing something similar either in a previous job or as a hobby is desirable.

- We are looking for someone who can share their test results with design engineers and work together to find solutions.
