Our client are an established and successful Engineering business who due to continued growth are seeking a raw Graduate or a Graduate with some office experience to join their small Strategic Purchasing team.
Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting the development of the global Supply Chain strategy. Accountable and responsible for producing data and reports for onward analysis, process improvements and data collation, to support the delivery of; 1. The lowest total cost 2. Reducing inventory and 3. Maximizing customer satisfaction through world class on time delivery, lead time and quality metrics.
Qualifications or Experience required:
• The ideal candidate, will be a strong team player, you will have a proactive approach and a ‘can-do’ attitude. The ability to work to tight deadlines, as well as excellent administration and communication skills are vital.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions & provide intelligence to support the development of Global Supply Chain strategy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment.
• Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines.
• Experience with e-Sourcing tools desirable.
• Advanced MS Excel, Access & Project skills desirable (V-Lookup, Pivot, Macro, Table, Query & Visual Basic)
• Willingness to travel in the UK.
• BS/BA in business, economics, marketing or technical discipline preferred.
• Certification in CIPS is desired but not essential.
