Analyst Programmer - Application Developer - SQL Scripting

New opportunity for an experienced Analyst developer to join a medium sized financial services organisation who have a very strong position in their niche industry.

You will work as part of a small, highly skilled, team of software development / software testing professionals. This is a varied role that includes a high amount of autonomy, and the successful candidate will be someone who is confident taking ownership for their specific area of the business - using their initiative to make sure that applications, both those in use and those in development, are giving the business the right tools to succeed. You will become an expert in a niche development language, taking ownership and responsibility for a business critical application, and playing a key role in the ongoing success of this company.

Key skills include:
Strong Databases development / administration skills - Oracle preferred but not essential
Excellent SQL Scripting skills
Desire to learn new technologies, and to learn a bespoke development language
Experience working on bespoke - inhouse developed systems highly beneficial.

This is a unique role, that would suit an experienced developer looking for a new challenge, or someone with strong database support and scripting skills who is looking to make the step into development. Candidates should be highly motivated and have the necessary desire and drive to take on an industry specific application, and become an expert in the area.
