Control Systems Engineer
Peterborough
Salary up to £45k per annum

Our client is at the forefront of their industry, with machinery ranges that are used across the world. Due to a healthy order book they are currently looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer who is fluent in Rockwell and Siemens PLC software.

The primary focus of the role is to design, develop and test electrical control systems for the company's range of machinery.


The ability to work on bespoke customer requests will also be needed from time to time, utilising your knowledge and practical skills whilst working on time and within budget.


Main Duties:

  • You will develop and produce PLC and HMI software for a variety of platforms.
  • Design, specify and issue electrical hardware parts lists and control panels according to specifications.
  • Specify technical requirements for bought out equipment.
  • Generate machine test specifications.
  • Proficiently test equipment in-house and at customer sites.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally hold an Engineering degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience of installing and commissioning process equipment and a knowledge of programming and fault finding on PLC systems.
  • Ability to develop and produce software to functional specifications.
  • Assisted with preparation of proposals and quotes.
  • Previously worked for at customer sites within the UK and overseas.


In this role your hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.45pm and Friday 8.30am to 3.00pm.
