Position: CNC Miller / Manual Miller
Location: Thetford outskirts
We are representing a small family-run engineering company located on the outskirts of Thetford. Specialising in the design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures, press tools, and special purpose machines, they also offer services in prototypes and CNC turning and milling, wire eroding, spark eroding, and general machining.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be proficient in programming and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring high-quality finishes. Specific machine experience with Hurco is advantageous but not essential. Machines operated include:
- XYZ SM3000 ProtoTrak SM (3-axis machines)
- Hurco VMX24 Ultimax / Hurco VMX30 Ultimax
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Benefits:
- Lunch break of 1 hour, with the option for a half-hour break with the possibility of working the remaining half-hour to accrue 2.5 hours of overtime per week, paid at time and a half.
Requirements:
Candidates with experience using similar machinery and possessing a strong foundational understanding are encouraged to apply. Quick learners adept at adapting to new machinery are welcome.
