We have chosen East Anglian charity Break as our Corporate Charity for 2017.

Break is a great organisation that has been dedicated to supporting children, young people and families since 1968, providing safe, caring homes and services for children across Norfolk.

Break’s core business is the provision of children’s homes for Looked After Children in their home Local Authority.

Break has six mainstream children’s homes in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and a Therapeutic Fostering Service offering single placements to traumatised young people.

Young people leaving Break’s care continue to be supported by our in-house Moving On Team.

In addition to the mainstream homes, Break has a children’s home for young people with profound learning and physical disabilities and two short-break schemes for children with disabilities.

Break also provides a range of assessment and support services to children at risk through a Residential Family Centre in Lowestoft and a range of community-based services, including assessment work, across East Anglia. Families’ House, based in Norwich, provides support and guidance to separating parents, ensuring that the children’s needs remain paramount.

This year we have set our fundraising target at £10,000 so please dig deep at our events to help Break continue to provide great care across Norfolk.
