Cooper Lomaz team take on the zip slide challenge at Portman Road in aid of EACH

Published date: June 3, 2019

On the 31st May, 8 brave souls from Cooper Lomaz risked their lives in aid of charity – well, when we say ‘risked their lives’ we actually mean they were completely safe and in the hands of experts, but we like to make it sound a bit more dramatic.

The team arrived at the Ipswich Town Football ground just before 9am, were fully prepped and made ready for their 9.30am slot. With the sun shining down on them, they made their way 100ft up to the top of the stadium. One after another Emma, Michael, Andy, Tom, Craig, Ben, Hannah and Aoife took the 440ft leap across the pitch and landed safely on the ground – some much quicker than others.

Not only was this a fantastic event, at great location, but between them our daredevils managed to raise over £600 for the charity. As our chosen charity, we have a number of events lined up this summer to raise money for EACH (East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice) including volunteering at their Quidenham Hospice, this Zip-slide event and the Pier to Pier challenge in July.
