Quality Control Engineer

Bury St Edmunds
Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Job description

If you're looking for an exciting new opportunity with Quality Control and are from an M&E background then read on as this opportunity could be just the one for you!

My client was only launched last year, however within the last 12 months it has absolutely surpassed all expectations and smashed the set targets. Not bad in the middle of a pandemic! They are the sister company of another local organisation that has been established for over 40 years, exports to over 20 countries worldwide and employs over 400 staff so the brains behind it clearly know what they are doing.

Due to this ongoing success they now have an opening for someone to join their team and be part of something big. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you would be responsible for product testing and quality inspections across a wide range of products. You will be required to learn all aspects of the QC process, including product compliance and risk assessment.

This is a very hands-on' role so you will ideally have previous experience in a QC position, essentially in an engineering environment, or have worked in an electronic / electrical / mechanical role.

To be considered, you should also have...

An understanding of, or interest in their range of outdoor products
The ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely
The ability to read and understand technical and statutory documents
A knowledge of the framework of Quality Standards and legislation e.g. Battery Regulations, Low Voltage Directive, RoHS, CE marking, Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive and Machinery Directive
A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
The ability to display some mechanical and electrical competence
A methodical approach to your work
The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision

If this sounds like it could be the ideal role for you, and you fit the brief then apply with your latest CV or call Gerry to discuss further.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. It is paying a very competitive salary for the current marketplace and comes with a host of benefits including annual leave, stakeholder pension, free parking, life assurance, health plans and more.
