They are an injection moulding and blow moulding company that have experienced continual growth and due to this success are now seeking an additional Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their busy Technical and Maintenance team.
Working with the other Maintenance personnel, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and where necessary modifying a variety of equipment including injection and blow moulding machinery and ancillary equipment. You will be required to work on setting up of processes and machinery and the installation and commissioning of new machinery, equipment or infrastructure. In addition, you will provide engineering support to production, assist with breakdown production repairs and prioritise maintaining production output to meet the needs of our customers. You will also be required to document and record modifications and maintenance work carried out on equipment, in accordance with the company's SOP's.
You will be responsible for supporting the business Vision, Mission and Core behavioural values and at all times protecting yourself and adhering to company Health & Safety rules. You will maintain effective communication with your work colleagues as well as mentoring and supporting personnel to aid in their personal development as required by the business. You will be expected to attend training courses when necessary in order to support your won personal development and the needs of the company.
The ideal candidate for this position will have completed an approved engineering apprenticeship / training course and hold appropriate engineering qualifications for the skills required. You will be competent in a range of technical skills covering mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics disciplines and have practical experience within a production environment. The key focus will be more on the electrical aspect of this role so my client's preference is someone that has solid experience working on electrical maintenance of machinery and plant, although both would obviously be a bonus.
You will be a team player, proactive with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills and be willing to share what you know to assist in the development of other personnel. You will also be computer literate and preferably have experience working within a busy high-volume production environment. If you have prior experience of working in the plastics industry and possess injection or blow moulding machinery experience then this would be highly desirable but is not essential as you will be working alongside vastly experienced Engineers that will be able to train you on this.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday on an 8 hour shift pattern. you would be fully based on site. There will also be plenty of overtime and weekend work available for additional earning potential.
