Job descriptionMy client Group is a family-run electrical and mechanical engineering company that has been proudly serving its customers - local, national and international for over 50 years. They provide an extensive range of products and services to the manufacturing, production, commercial, industrial and agricultural markets and due to expansion are ready to open up an exciting training opportunity within their organisation.
They are looking for a Trainee Rewinds Engineer to work in their electric motor, gearbox and pump overhaul workshop who is keen to learn the skills and trade of Rewinding. The successful candidate will work closely with their small team to be trained in how to dismantle, service and rebuild electric motors, gearboxes and pumps. In addition, they will be expected to assist with general workshop duties to ensure that the Rewinds department runs smoothly and operates within a clean and tidy workshop.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity must be willing to learn and keen to develop, and also have an interest in electrical and mechanical engineering, ideally with a relevant qualification.
Experience of working within a workshop would be highly beneficial but is not essential.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity working a 39 hour week. There will also be some opportunities for overtime. It is imperative that you have your own transport to commute to site as it is in a remote location and not accessible via public transport.
