JOB: Systems Administrator
LOCATION: Ipswich, Suffolk
JOB TERM: Permanent
SALARY: £40-£48k

Cooper Lomaz has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Administrator to work with one of our very well-established clients, based in Ipswich. This is a fantastic chance for a Systems Administrator to join a team of highly-skilled systems administrators who ensure the IT Service Availability for the Ipswich office.
Working within the specialist team, you will primarily be responsible for the following:

·Providing a high standard of operational and 3rd line support in a service-led department.
·Understanding the needs of the users of prime business applications.
·Maintenance and administration of IT infrastructure.
·Undertake identification and resolution of issues proactively.
·Identify & implement measures to enhance processes and procedures.
·Assist with development projects as defined by management in order me meet deadlines
·Act as liason between service providers and business users.
This role will offer the successful applicant the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, with a range of technologies.
Key Skills required;
·Commercial experience of Microsoft Server and desktop OS administration / troubleshooting.
·Commercial experience of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 & 2010, Windows 7, Office 2010.
·Knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2008, & 2003.
·Comprehensive knowledge of server hardware including Blade Server, SAN & Fibre Channel.
·Comprehensive knowledge of virtual server technology including Hyper-V.
·Comprehensive knowledge of WAN & LAN infrastructure.
·Comprehensive knowledge of AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP & NTFS.
·Experience of working within a regulated environment.
It is important that the candidate is able to demonstrate the following skills:
·Understanding of a structured methodology.
·Any exposure to Citrix administration & Support would be advantageous.
·Strong communication and people skills.
