We are excited to be working with a globally renowned name in the field of Biological Science.
A new and exciting opportunity for a Trainee Mechanical Engineering Technician, ideally suited for an individual who is keen to begin a career in mechanical engineering or had recent experience in a similar role.       
Role Overview:
Your duties as the Mechanical Engineering Technician role are to support the mechanical requirements across the site, including all scheduled maintenance, form plant, plumbing and ancillary services.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Ensure plant, equipment and rooms are working efficiently and in order.
  • Work closely with the maintenance departments across the site.
  • Undertake planned tasks to adhere to relevant regulations and legislations for safe working environments.

Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Willingness to train for a Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification (if not held already) 
  • Experience in plant/plumbing/air handling unit (HVAC)
Desired Skills:
  • Educated in GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English or Maths.
  • Electrical knowledge, plumbing, air con, heating, industrial technician
  • Engineering qualification (NVQ 2,3 or equivalent)
  • Engineering apprenticeship.
  • Limited or recent work in a similar environment
  • Mechanical/Engineering/maintenance, water treatments
  • Desire to further education and training in NVQ Mechanical/Engineering Technician
