Role Overview:
As a pivotal member of our maintenance team, you'll report directly to the Engineering Supervisor, overseeing the seamless operation of facilities and machinery to achieve peak efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass total preventative maintenance, prompt resolution of electrical breakdowns, and meticulous reporting. In this role, you'll spearhead both reactive and proactive maintenance initiatives across all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Undertake a wide range of tasks including planned preventative maintenance and tackling breakdowns in order to maintain optimum efficiency.
  • Carry out plant checks and readings on essential equipment
  • Work efficiently to ensure all electrical/mechanical engineering work is completed in a safe manner
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of production lines to identify and implement improvements
  • Carry out machine inspections, conduct relevant repairs or improvements and carry our preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Provide mechanical and electrical assistance to breakdowns
 
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Essential:
  • Hold a nationally recognized electrical engineering qualification
  • Bring extensive experience at the plant level, with a strong track record of success
  • Demonstrate diplomacy and objectivity in all interactions Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Contribute to effective, time-sensitive repairs as part of an engineering shift, including weekend PPM and contractor coordination
 
Desirable:
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislative bodies and instruments, ensuring effective supervision within these boundaries
  • Leverage your comprehensive knowledge of plant and machinery manufacturers to drive site improvement initiatives
  • While experience in a similar environment is beneficial, it's not mandatory
  • Exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other engineering-specific programs
  • Be self-motivated and highly resilient

This is a full-time, permanent position with a three-week rotation of two weeks on days and one week on nights, averaging 42 hours per week. Any hours worked beyond contractual hours are compensated at premium rates.
