Job Title: CNC Machinist Location: Bury St Edmunds Are you a CNC Machinist with programming experience? Are you an ambitious, willing to learn individual looking for that brand new challenge? Then read on! This is a job you don't want to miss out on! My client based in Bury St Edmunds are seeking a CNC Machinist to support the continued growth within their machine shop. Core Job Duties:  Responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings.  Responsible for inputting the design specifications, adjusting machine cutting parts and performing quality checks on final product.  Responsible for developing programmes and tooling methods as may be required.  Responsible for first off and periodic inspection of their own work and others as required.  Provide support to the Team Leader/Line Manager as required, both in his duties and relevant team duties.  Supporting all other operational functions as required.  Responsible for performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. Knowledge & Skills  Knowledge of Fanuc Programming, HAAS and Mazatrol Controllers and HSM Inventor CAM system experience would be an advantage.  Tooling design and manufacture experience would be advantageous.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Experience of working to close tolerances. Education & Experience  Minimum of five years’ experience within a machining/workshop environment - Certification in relevant discipline or related experience and/or training.  Minimum of NVQ/City and Guilds in engineering practices or equivalent experience, time served apprentice.  Experienced working with cast materials (Bronze, Alloy, Iron, Stainless, Brass).  Experience in working with multiple machines and in executing tasks that can be both complex and repetitive, such as Lathe turning - Manual & CNC, Milling - Manual & CNC, Drilling/Tapping using various gauges.
