Job descriptionRole: DevOps Engineer Location: Brentwood Salary: up to £65,000 per annum Package: Discretionary bonus, 26 days annual leave + Birthday off, competitive company pension, corporate benefits scheme & more You will be working for a leading digital consultancy, a dynamic organisation which is a pioneer in its technical arenas, harnessing the finest technology to enable their luxe client-base to really stand out. This a business with a really vivid market presence, working with some of the biggest names in the world! They are seeking to appoint a DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal part supporting their diverse and demanding application suite - and a lot of greenfield work to facilitate this! You will be the focal point for the cloud environment, working in and closely with the development team, being at the core of most project delivery. You will be responsible for building, refining and manging CI/CD pipelines, will have the opportunity to learn or further grow you knowledge provisioning instances using infrastructure as code solutions for both AWS and Azure, and will be competent with scripting for automation, and knowledgeable about process through the full software development lifecycle. The application suite is demanding of computing resource, so the estate will need to remain responsive, robust and secure in a fast paced delivery environment. Your job responsibilities; • Linux or Windows Systems Administration • Delivering largescale applications into production with good knowledge of version control. • Managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments, and building them where required. • Configuring, refining and managing hosted infrastructure utilising infrastructure as code tools and processes. • Knowledge of Networking & Security alongside Performance Monitoring. Skills you will use every day for the job; • Cloud services knowledge with AWS or Azure • Scripting for autromation with Bash, Python, Shell, Perl, PowerShell or similar • Understanding of Linux or Windows operating systems • Version Control Technology that would be great to see knowledge of (commercially or in personal projects); • Containerisation with Docker, Kubenetes or knowledge of Microservices • Jenkins, Bamboo or similar for CI/CD pipelines • Ansible, Terraform or Cloudformation for Build, Config or IaC.
