A fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Maintenance Manager has become available with one of my clients who are a market leader in Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will lead the Maintenance & Engineering teams to provide an effective engineering system that delivers performance targets and increases reliability. Reporting to the Site Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a result focussed leader, committed to driving improvements and to lead a large Engineering and Maintenance team. Additionally, as the Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will: • Lead and develop the Maintenance and Engineering team through effective mentorship and coaching. • Be responsible for maintenance and repair of our production assets and the site’s infrastructure • Lead and deliver the site’s CAPEX projects whilst developing the long-term CAPEX plan • Develop and deliver technical improvements for the site. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and EHS and Process Safety standards • Coordinate and select contractor activities on site • Lead the development of departmental performance through effective use of KPI’s • Work together with our technical purchasing team to deliver cost-effective solutions for the site • Participate in audits and act as an auditor for ISO 9100 and 14001 Requirements: • This position requires a degree in a suitable Engineering discipline, for example Mechanical or Electrical. • Significant work experience in an Engineering Function, ideally Chemical Sector experience, or equivalent gained in manufacturing environment. • Experience in all EHS requirements and an appreciation of Process Safety. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of Site Engineers. • Proven record in project management and delivering improvements. • Knowledge of business tools & processes, for example SAP. • Understanding of commercial priorities and cost control.
