East Anglian based recruitment agency Cooper Lomaz have reason to be proud as they have managed to raise a whopping £8105.25 over the course of 2017 for their charity partner BREAK.

Each year, Cooper Lomaz selects a corporate charity to support and raise money for throughout the year with a series of companywide events. 2017 saw the agency support BREAK, a charity that that provides children’s homes in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

To kick off their most successful year of fundraising year to date, 20 Cooper Lomaz employees braved a Firewalk in April, walking over 1,200 degree hot coals on a chilly night in Kings Lynn, before soaring up to the dizzying heights of 12,500 feet for a skydive.

The third, and by far the largest event of the year took place in July, as 8 Cooper Lomaz employees, including Managing Director Simon Brown, climbed the 3 highest peaks in the UK over a 24 hour period, raising a total of £2,500 in what was arguably the toughest challenge completed!

Amongst these large fundraisers, they have also raised money through smaller scale events such as bake sales, raffles and a “pay-to-play” football match which saw their Bury St Edmunds office regain their title in a match more fiercely contested than the East Anglian Derby.

Corporate Social Responsibility is highly valued at Cooper Lomaz and they think it’s incredibly important to support a local charity each year and give something back to the community, something they’re incredibly proud of.
