Now in their 21st year, the Suffolk Business Awards took place last Thursday at the prestigious Kesgrave Hall, in Ipswich. Recognised as one of the biggest nights in the Suffolk Business Calendar, the event was hosted by The East Anglian Daily Times and in association with joint main sponsors EDF Energy and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

Blessed by another remarkably hot and beautiful evening, more than 320 guests attended the event enjoying reception drinks outside on arrival, before entering The Hangar to experience a three course dinner. Hosting the evening was comedian Miles Jupp, presenter of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, who brought many moments of laughter from the best in the regional business community, who clearly enjoyed a fun packed night. During the evening, a total of twelve prized awards were presented in a broad mix of categories dedicated to SME’s as well as large businesses. Also making a come-back this year was the distinguished family business category.

As one of the proud table sponsors, Cooper Lomaz Recruitment, were delighted to host a table comprising of 10 clients and consultants to this prestigious event. Allowing them all to appreciate and recognise everyone’s achievements.

There were some innovative presentations from the entrants and it was good to see the award winners representing the widest cross section of local businesses, large and small’.

The evening proved to be a great success, reflecting months of hard work and planning. Substantiated by the hundreds of entries, showing, that regardless of business size or sector Suffolk and North Essex is a successful place to do business.
