The day’s schedule is as follows:
9.15am – 1.00pm: morning session

 An update on the latest developments in employment law, including new and forthcoming legislation and key case law.
 A Q&A session on the state of play in the employment tribunals with our expert panel of practising barristers and our very own Employment Judge, Kevin Palmer. Followed by a break for coffee.
• Our keynote speaker, David Thorneloe, head of the legal team responsible for employment law at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy will speak about the BEIS view of the employment law landscape 
• Delegates will then have a choice of breakout sessions to attend (see details below)

1.00pm – 2.00pm: lunch break

2.00pm – 5.15pm: afternoon session

 The day concludes with a short ‘mock injunction’. The session will be chaired by our employment judge, Kevin Palmer, with barristers Clare Harrington and Dan Hobbs from 5 Essex Court chambers acting as advocates. You will also get to enjoy the acting skills of some of the Birketts employment team. The mock injunction will provide a unique insight into the process for enforcing restrictive covenants and the factors taken into account when considering the protection of business interests.
