DevelopHER Awards

Cooper Lomaz consultants attended the DevelopHER Awards on Wednesday evening, with Operations Director Mark Fletcher serving on the judging panel. The awards are intended to recognise high-achieving women in the East Anglia tech industry.

Nominees were joined at the event by representatives from businesses from across the region, with about 150 attending in total.

As well as the overall DeveloperHER award, categories ranged from ‘Best Newcomer’ and the ‘Emerging Talent Award’ to the ‘Unsung Hero Award’ that Cooper Lomaz were sponsoring.

The event was organised by Norwich Web Developer Vickie Allen, who founded SyncDevelopHER in 2013 with the intention of promoting women and running monthly meetups.

Mark Fletcher said: “The DevelopHER awards are an excellent platform for promoting the role of women in local digital and technology sectors. It was a pleasure to attend and Cooper Lomaz was very pleased to be able to support the event and sponsor the Unsung Hero award.”

Hazel Cottrell, founder of the Creative Content Company, won the Unsung Hero Award. Her company offers services in content creation as well as social media management.

Fletcher added: “Vickie has done a fantastic job in making this a truly regional event. We’re already looking forward to next year!”
