Plans are afoot to convert the former RAF Bexwell site near Downham Market in Norfolk into a hotspot for technology and data management.

4,500 jobs are expected to be created in a deal that sees £300million being invested into the 70-acre site that will include an Institute of Data Science for 300 undergraduate and postgraduate research students, a hall of residence and a start-up incubator centre amongst a host of retail and leisure facilities.

The centre, when completed has the potential to be at the forefront of breakthroughs into treating cancer and will provide local young people with aspirations and opportunities to get into modern technology and science.
