The ONS (Office of National Statistics) has recently released the latest unemployment figures for July, which shows that the UK total unemployment dropped by 52,000 to 1.64million, the lowest since 2005.

In the report, it was announced that the East of England has the lowest unemployment rate at just 106,000; a 12,000 reduction from June.

These record breaking statistics come as something of a surprise considering the predictions of what would happen following Brexit.  Having said that these are only initial results from the run up and immediate aftermath so we will continue to monitor employment and economic output data over the coming months and update everyone on further developments.

This is great news, not only for the UK but for our region in which we are proud to Brilliantly Connect clients and candidates.
